Can You Solve This ?

There are two answers to this viral puzzle. Can you figure out both?
A puzzle going viral on the Internet has everyone confused. The puzzle, which asks you to find a pattern between four equations, has two answers – and has led to numerous heated debates online. In fact, if the Daily Mail is to be believed, only one in a 1,000 people can figure out the second answer. Go ahead and see if you can solve it:

The two answers to the puzzle are 40 and 96.

For the first solution, you begin with 1 + 4 to get 5.
Then, you add 2 + 5 to the first answer of 5 to reach 12.
Similarly, adding 3 + 6 to 12 gives 21.
In the end, 8 + 11 + 21 = 40.
The quick answer, therefore, is 40, arrived at by simply adding each equation with the sum from the previous equation.
The second answer is also explained below. It is little more complicated.
Following that rule, other equations will be solved like this:
1 + (1 x 4) = 5
2 + (2 x 5) = 12
3 + (3 x 6) = 21
8 + (8 x 11) = 96
This puzzle has also annoyed people who discuss different answers with each other. However, many have pointed out that both the answers are correct since it is not a math puzzle but a logic puzzle.

HOW MANY FACES DO YOU SEE IN THE IMAGE?

Problem : How many faces can you find from this picture?

An optical illusion is a picture that seems to be something but in reality it is different than what we see. When you see the image at the first time, you will see an old man with beard is standing and holding a curved stick in his hand. There is a lady in front of him carrying a small child in her hands. But when you go a step back and see the image, you will realize there is a big face of an old man with beard wearing a tie. The lady we saw is acting now as the ear of the face and the standing old man becomes the face. Well, it is not finished. When you see around this face, there are many faces hidden in such a way that they act like the borders of different things. I am going to tell you how to find the faces step by step.

Solution:

  1. The first and obvious face is the big face of man.
Answer of illusion: How many faces do you see it the image?
 2. The second face is the face of the standing old man.
The second face is the face of the standing old man.
 3. The third face is the face of standing lady.
The second face is the face of the standing old man.
 4. The fourth face is of the child in the lady’s hand.
The second face is the face of the standing old man.
Now the real test starts! All the other faces are difficult to find. You have to think out of box.
  1. The fifth face is hidden as a part of old architectural post. It is hidden in such a way that you will see the post and not able to find the face.
The second face is the face of the standing old man.
 6. The sixth and seventh faces are also part of a different post at the left side of the big face.
The second face is the face of the standing old man.
 7. As stated above.
The second face is the face of the standing old man.
 8. Again, the eighth face is part of another post.
The second face is the face of the standing old man.
 9. This is the best hidden face because it is made from the previous two hidden faces. The second face is the face of the standing old man.
So, there are total 9 hidden faces in the image.
